There are only two cars available in the range that require Audi Charging Cables which are the A3 Sportback e-tron and the Q7 e-tron. Both feature e-tron specific front grille, with an e-tron rear bumper and diffuser, also having LED daytime running lights with no visible tailpipes available at EV Cable Shop. Audi e-tron uses an electric motor and a conventional combustion engine. This enables the option of using both together or independently. Both Audi e-tron models give best performance on the electric motor, which is the combustion engine, when used for short journeys and around town. The hybrid option which uses both offers reliability and performance of a combustion engine, with the added bonus of the economy of an electric motor.
The Audi e-tron range use type 2 chargers available in different variations. Charging points are now available far and wide in the UK, this is for the convenience of owners with a hybrid or an all-electric vehicle that wish to top up or fully charge whilst out and about. You can locate charging points in many public places, including car parks and supermarkets. There are charges for this facility but you may come across some that are free. For more information on public charging points in the UK, visit the National Charge Point Registry.
