The Skoda Enyaq accepts up to 11 kW on AC. A 22 kW lead covers the quickest version built and is the one to bring to a three-phase post.

Charging on your own driveway only? Domestic supply here is single phase and caps the car at 7.4 kW. The 32A single-phase cable (5m / 10m / 15m / 20m) delivers that in full and costs less.

A Skoda Enyaq charging cable needs to be a Type 2 to Type 2, in the same specification for every UK car built since 2021: all of them carry an 11 kW onboard AC charger, and all of them draw 7.4 kW from a single phase home wallbox. Skoda has renamed this car twice in five years. The launch range was the iV 60, iV 80 and iV 80x; the 2023 update dropped the iV and turned the 80 into an 85; the 2025 New Enyaq brought a new face and new numbers again. The AC charger sat still through all of it, which is why a second hand listing full of unfamiliar badges settles nothing here. The badge does not describe the battery either. An Enyaq 85 holds 82 kWh gross and 77 kWh usable, the same pack Skoda sold as the iV 80, so the number on the tailgate changes how many hours a charge takes and nothing about which cable does it.

Which Skoda Enyaq charging cable to buy

The one that reaches the ceiling at home: the 32A single phase cable. Our menu calls it 32amp (7.2kW), and on a domestic wallbox it hands the car the 7.4 kW that is as much as any 11 kW vehicle can take from one phase. A 77 kWh Enyaq 85 fills from empty in 11 hours 45 minutes on it, a 59 kWh Enyaq 60 in 9 hours, and nothing at any price beats either time. Worth buying only where three phases arrive: the 32A three phase cable. A British house is fed from one phase, so two of that cable's three power cores stay idle from the meter onwards and the Enyaq settles for its usual 7.4 kW. Plug the same lead into a workplace bay or a 22 kW AC post with all three phases live and the car finally uses its full 11 kW, taking the 85 down to 8 hours and the 60 to 6. The one that costs you the tariff: the 16A cable. Labelled 16amp (3.6kW), it pins any Enyaq to 3.7 kW, so an Enyaq 85 needs 23 hours 30 minutes from empty rather than 11 hours 45 minutes, and a seven hour off peak window puts back roughly 119 miles where the 32A lead manages about 245. That gap decides whether the car is full by breakfast or still drinking electricity at peak rates.

With the amperage settled, length comes down to the flap, which sits on the right hand rear flank of the Enyaq where a fuel filler would be, on the SUV and the Coupe alike. The car is 4.66 metres long and usually the bigger of two cars on a drive. Back it in with the wall unit on the driver's side and a 5 metre lead has coil to spare. Park nose first, or leave the other car between the Enyaq and the charger, and the cable has to travel the whole flank of a family SUV and around whatever is in its way, which is 10 metre territory. A 15 metre or 20 metre cable suits a detached garage, a long drive, or an Enyaq that lives at the kerb. Measure along the ground with the drive as it normally looks, second car included; an empty one flatters the shorter cable. At 15 and 20 metres we build the 32A single phase rating alone.

A new Enyaq should not arrive empty handed. Skoda UK lists a 6 metre Mode 3 cable among the standard equipment for its electric range, which is the lead for a wallbox or an untethered public post. It is also the only one supplied, because nothing in that boot fits an ordinary household socket, and a five year old Enyaq sold privately often turns up with no cable whatsoever. Our Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable covers that gap, a Mode 2 lead listed as 6amp - 12amp Adjustable (2.3kW) and known to most owners as a granny charger. It pulls 2.3 kW from a 13 amp socket and returns about 11 miles of range an hour to an Enyaq 85, so a night parked somewhere without a charger is worth roughly 77 miles by morning. A full charge would run to 37 hours 45 minutes, so keep it for those nights rather than daily use; the Type B RCD in its control box and the current dial let it work from an older socket without loading it to the limit.

An Enyaq 60 sold from April 2026 uses an LFP pack measured at 58 kWh usable but certified at 283 miles, so it matches the 2021 to 2024 car for hours while adding about 36 miles per hour at 7.4 kW. Skoda quotes 77 kWh net for the 82 kWh pack in the 85 and the vRS, where EV Database measures 79 kWh in the latest vRS, a difference worth about 15 minutes across a full charge. Coupe bodies are certified a few miles further than the SUV on the same battery, and every WLTP figure moves with wheel size and trim. Read the miles per hour column as a mild weather, around town number: January mornings and long motorway stints each take a slice out of it.

Is there a slow charging Skoda Enyaq to watch out for?

No. Every Skoda Enyaq sold in the UK, from the 2021 iV 60 through the 60, 85, 85x and vRS to the cars in showrooms now, has the same 11 kW three phase onboard AC charger, so no version quietly charges more slowly than the rest. That makes the 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable the right buy across the whole range, it plugs into the socketed home EV chargers Skoda drivers have fitted, whatever brand is on the wall, and it means a used Enyaq needs no charger check before you order a cable, only a battery check to know how long it will sit there. Choosing the amperage is easy on an Enyaq; choosing the length is the part that varies from drive to drive.

Does an Enyaq 85 have an 85 kWh battery?

No. The Skoda Enyaq 85 carries an 82 kWh pack with 77 kWh usable, which is the same battery Skoda sold as the iV 80 before the 2023 renaming. The badge is a positioning label rather than a capacity, so an iV 80, an 80x, an 85 and an 85x all need the same 11 hours 45 minutes from empty on a 7.4 kW home charger with the 32A charging cable.

Which cable should a used Skoda Enyaq iV 80 owner buy?

The 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable, exactly as a brand new one would. A 2021 Skoda Enyaq iV 80, one of thousands of used Enyaqs on UK forecourts, has the same Type 2 inlet and the same 11 kW onboard charger as the 2026 car, and its 77 kWh battery fills in 11 hours 45 minutes at 7.4 kW. Look under the boot floor before ordering, because the factory Mode 3 lead is 6 metres, which makes 10 metres or longer the upgrade worth having, alongside the 3-pin cable the Enyaq never came with, which is built to IEC 62752, the standard for portable chargers.

Would a 22kW cable charge a Skoda Enyaq any quicker?

Not at home. A Skoda Enyaq accepts 11 kW on AC at the very most, and a house is fed by a single phase, so the 22 kW three phase charging cable and the 32A single phase charging cable both hand the car 7.4 kW on a driveway. Where three phases do reach the socket, typically a workplace car park or a 22 kW public AC post, the three phase lead lifts a 77 kWh Enyaq 85 from 11 hours 45 minutes to 8 hours. It earns the extra money only if the car regularly spends its hours at a site like that.

How much range does a Skoda Enyaq gain overnight at home?

About 245 miles of WLTP range into a 77 kWh Skoda Enyaq 85 across a seven hour off peak window, because the 32A cable at 7.4 kW is adding roughly 35 miles an hour. A 59 kWh Enyaq 60 gains about 34 miles an hour, or 238 miles over the same seven hours, comfortably more than its 268 mile rating asks for from a typical evening state of charge. Fit the 16A charging cable instead and both cars drop to around 119 miles a night, which still covers an average week of driving but not a Skoda Enyaq that starts most evenings near empty.

How many metres of cable does a Skoda Enyaq need?

10 metres covers the majority of Skoda Enyaq driveways. Because the charge flap sits at the right hand rear of a 4.66 metre SUV, a 5 metre lead stretches far enough in one layout only: the Enyaq backed in, the wall unit on that same flank, and clear ground between the two. Turn the car round, move the charger to the far wall, or leave a second vehicle alongside, and several metres get added to the route the EV charging cable must follow. For a detached garage, a long drive or an on street space, order 15 or 20 metres.

  • Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable:

    A charging cable that connects electric vehicles (EVs) with a Type 2 connector to charging points is also equipped with a Type 2 socket. It supports faster charging speeds and is commonly used across Europe for EVs with this standard connection.

  • Type 2 to 3 Pin Charging Cable:

  • 5m - Charging Cable Length

    A 5M charging cable is the shortest length that we offer. It is a great option if you can park close to the charge point and do not need much length to reach your car.

  • 10m - Charging Cable Length

    A 10M charging cable is the most popular length. It allows you to have enough flexibility whilst still being easy enough to move. This is a great option if you cannot park close to the electricity supply.

  • 15m - Charging Cable Length

    A 15M charging cable is a great choice if you need some extra flexibility, i.e. get past another car or reach the other end of a driveway. The length of the cable does not affect the charging speed.

  • 20m - Charging Cable Length

    A 20M charging cable is the longest cable that we currently offer. 20M reaches the vast majority of locations where you would want to charge your car. Always use one continuous cable. Never join two charging cables together and never charge through an extension lead, because the join is where heat builds up.

How to choose your charge speed
  • 6amp - 12amp Adjustable

    The choice if you will charge from a standard UK 3 pin socket. It runs at the most the socket can safely supply, and the control box lets you turn the current down for a slower, gentler charge overnight or on an older circuit.

  • 16amp

    A 16amp cable will be able to charge at 3.7kW. This is the cheapest product if your car's max charge speed is 3.7kW. If you have two electric cars or are looking to purchase another it might be worth considering a faster charging cable as this could limit charge speeds moving forward.

  • 32amp

    A 32amp charging cable will be able to charge at 7.4kW, which is the most a single phase UK home supply can deliver. A 32amp cable also charges at every lower speed (for example 16amp, 3.7kW), so it is the right choice if your home charge point is 7.4kW or you mostly charge at home.

  • 32amp (3 Phase)

    A 32amp 3-phase charging cable will be able to charge at all speeds up to 22kW, so the cable never limits your charge speed at home or in public. It is also capable of charging at all lower charge speeds.
