The Spring accepts 6.6 kW on AC, a single-phase figure that Dacia rounds to 7 kW in its own literature. Which Dacia charging cable do you need?
Every version of the Dacia Spring uses the same connector and the same 6.6 kW charge rate, so there is only one right answer regardless of which one you own. That covers the current Electric 70 and Electric 100 on the 24.3 kWh battery and the earlier Spring 45 and Spring 65 on the 26.8 kWh battery.
A 32A single-phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable fills a Spring from empty in about four and a quarter hours. A 16A cable takes seven and a half hours, which on a battery this small still finishes overnight, so unlike most electric cars the 16A cable is a reasonable buy here. The 32A cable is still the better one, because it lets you recharge during the day as well as while you sleep.
The Spring is one of the few EVs you can run on a three-pin socket

Choosing a cable length
This needs more care on a Spring than on almost any other car, because the charge port sits in the centre of the nose, behind the Dacia badge, rather than on a wing. Park nose in toward the wallbox and 5m usually reaches, helped by the Spring being a very short car. Reverse onto the drive and the cable has to travel the whole length of the car before it reaches the socket, so 10m becomes the safer choice. Measure with the car parked exactly as you leave it and allow slack. 15m and 20m are there for detached garages and shared parking.
