The Porsche Taycan delivers thrilling electric performance with a range of up to 320 miles (WLTP) from the Performance Battery Plus. Finding the right charging cable means you can make the most of every kWh at home.
The Taycan uses a Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable with a standard onboard AC charging speed of 11 kW (upgradeable to 22 kW as a factory option). Our 3-Phase, 32A cable is the best match for all Taycan models, delivering up to 22 kW on vehicles fitted with the optional charger upgrade.
We stock the Type 2 to Type 2 Charging Cable in 5m and 10m lengths. Our Type 2 to 3-Pin Charging Cable is available in the same lengths for portable home charging from a standard UK plug socket.

Compatible with all Type 2 cars
The Taycan is one of the very few cars where a 22 kW three-phase cable was ever genuinely useful, but only on the right car. Porsche fitted an 11 kW charger as standard and sold a 22 kW charger as a £1,179 UK option up to around the 2023 model year. The option was then withdrawn, and the 2024 facelift onwards is 11 kW only. If you have a pre-2023 Taycan, it is worth checking your original specification, because a 22 kW car on a three-phase post charges twice as fast. On a UK home supply, which is single phase, every Taycan charges at about 7.4 kW regardless. Note also that the batteries grew with the 2024 facelift, and from March 2025 the 105 kWh pack became standard across the UK range.

A charging cable that connects electric vehicles (EVs) with a Type 2 connector to charging points is also equipped with a Type 2 socket. It supports faster charging speeds and is commonly used across Europe for EVs with this standard connection.
This cable allows electric vehicles with a Type 2 socket to charge from a standard UK 3-pin domestic outlet. It provides a slower charge but is useful for home or emergency charging when dedicated charging stations aren't available.
A cable is used to extend the reach of a Type 2 charging cable. It’s helpful when the existing cable is too short to connect an electric vehicle to the charging point, providing more flexibility in parking.
A fixed charging cable attached to a charging point, designed for electric vehicles with a Type 2 socket. The tethered design eliminates the need to carry a separate cable, offering convenience for regular charging at home or work.
A charging cable that connects electric vehicles with a Type 1 socket to charging points equipped with a Type 2 outlet. This allows EVs with the older Type 1 standard to use more modern charging infrastructure.
This cable enables electric vehicles with a Type 1 connector to charge from a standard UK 3-pin household outlet. It’s suitable for slower charging at home when dedicated EV charging points aren’t accessible.
A 5M charging cable is the shortest length that we offer. This is great if you can park close to the electricity supply and you don't need much length to reach your car this is a great option for you.
A 10M charging cable is the most popular length. It allows you to have enough flexibility whilst still being easy enough to move. This is a great option if you cannot park close to the electricity supply.
A 15M charging cable is a great choice if you need some extra flexibility, i.e. get past another car or reach the other end of a driveway. The length of the cable does not affect the charging speed.
A 20M charging cable is the longest cable that we currently offer. 20M should be sufficient to reach the vast majority of locations where you would like to charge your car. If this isn't enough you can always add an extension cable.
If you are looking to charge your car using a 3-pin socket this is a great choice for you. The maximum charge speed for a 3 pin socket is 12 amps, so this cable will be capable of charging at the maximum charge speed but it also gives you the option if you want to charge at a slower speed (Reducing risk and costs).
A 16amp cable will be able to charge at 3.6kW. This is the cheapest product if your car's max charge speed is 3.6kW. If you have two electric cars or are looking to purchase another it might be worth considering a faster charging cable as this could limit charge speeds moving forward.
A 32amp charging cable will be able to charge at 7.2kW. This is the maximum output from a domestic house. A 32amp charge speed will also be able to charge at all lower charge speeds (i.e 16amp - 3.6kW). This is a great choice if you are limited to 7.2kW or you only charge your car at home.
A 32amp 3-phase charging cable will be able to charge at all speeds up to 22kW. This cable will ensure that your ev charging cable never limits your charge speed at home or in public. This cable is also capable of charging at all lower charge speeds.
