The Jeep Renegade 4xe takes a Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and the 32A single phase lead is the one to order. Jeep quotes 7.4 kW and a recharge of about one hour 40 minutes, and only a 32A cable can carry that.
On the Renegade, 4xe genuinely does mean plug-in hybrid, and the car has a Type 2 socket. Elsewhere in the range it does not. Jeep also sells a Renegade e-Hybrid, which is a 48V mild hybrid with no charging port at all, and on the newer Avenger the 4xe badge signifies a mild hybrid rather than a plug-in. Three letters, opposite meanings, depending on which model you are standing next to. Confirm your car has a socket before you spend anything.
There is one honest caveat about the charge rate. Jeep presents 7.4 kW as a wallbox capability rather than stating the onboard charger rating outright, and some markets list a slower 3.7 kW unit. A 32A cable covers both possibilities. If your Renegade has the faster charger you get the full one hour 40 minute recharge, and if it has the 3.7 kW unit you have lost nothing, because the cable is never the part doing the limiting.
The battery is 11.4 kWh gross, which is modest, and the Renegade 4xe has no rapid charging whatsoever. AC is the only route in, so this cable does all the work of keeping the electric range usable. The Compass 4xe shares the same powertrain and the same 11.4 kWh battery, so these numbers apply to that car too.
Leave the three phase cable alone here. Its 22 kW rating is a three phase figure and the Renegade is quoted at 7.4 kW, so the extra capacity has nothing to do. British houses are single phase anyway, which puts 7.4 kW at the top of what any home wallbox will hand over.
On length, 5m is fine when the wallbox stands beside the parking space. Choose 10m if the Renegade sits across a driveway, on the road outside, or at a shared workplace post. A Type 2 to Type 2 cable, ideally the 32A single phase version. The Renegade 4xe is quoted by Jeep at 7.4 kW, which is exactly what a 32A lead delivers on a home wallbox, and that fills the 11.4 kWh battery in around one hour 40 minutes. Available in 5m and 10m.
No. The Renegade e-Hybrid is a 48V mild hybrid, charged by its own engine, and it has no charging port for a cable to plug into. Only the Renegade 4xe plug-in hybrid, sold from 2020 to 2024, has a Type 2 socket. On the Avenger, confusingly, 4xe means mild hybrid.
Jeep quotes about one hour 40 minutes for a full charge of the 11.4 kWh battery at 7.4 kW using a 32A cable. If your car carries the 3.7 kW charger listed in some markets, expect nearer 3h30m. A domestic three pin socket at 2.3 kW takes roughly 5h30m.
For a 7.4 kW Renegade, yes: 1h40m against 3h30m for the same 11.4 kWh charge. Because Jeep is not explicit about the onboard charger rating, the 32A lead is also the safer buy. It never limits the car, whichever onboard charger turns out to be fitted to your car.
Yes, with a Type 2 to 3 Pin lead. At 2.3 kW it needs about 5h30m to fill the 11.4 kWh battery, which suits an overnight stop somewhere without a wallbox. The lead is IP67 rated for outdoor sockets. Use a wallbox and the 32A cable as your everyday method.
5m covers a Renegade parked alongside its charge point with a clear run to the socket. Order 10m if the wallbox is set back, the car faces away from it, or you also charge at a workplace bay. Both lengths are stocked in 16A, 32A and three phase.

A 15M charging cable is a great choice if you need some extra flexibility, i.e. get past another car or reach the other end of a driveway. The length of the cable does not affect the charging speed.
A 20M charging cable is the longest cable that we currently offer. 20M reaches the vast majority of locations where you would want to charge your car. Always use one continuous cable. Never join two charging cables together and never charge through an extension lead, because the join is where heat builds up.
The choice if you will charge from a standard UK 3 pin socket. It runs at the most the socket can safely supply, and the control box lets you turn the current down for a slower, gentler charge overnight or on an older circuit.
A 16amp cable will be able to charge at 3.7kW. This is the cheapest product if your car's max charge speed is 3.7kW. If you have two electric cars or are looking to purchase another it might be worth considering a faster charging cable as this could limit charge speeds moving forward.
A 32amp charging cable will be able to charge at 7.4kW, which is the most a single phase UK home supply can deliver. A 32amp cable also charges at every lower speed (for example 16amp, 3.7kW), so it is the right choice if your home charge point is 7.4kW or you mostly charge at home.
A 32amp 3-phase charging cable will be able to charge at all speeds up to 22kW, so the cable never limits your charge speed at home or in public. It is also capable of charging at all lower charge speeds.
