The superb BMW 3 Series 330e plug-in hybrid saloon is not only cheap to run, it is also as great to drive as any of the rear-wheel drive thoroughbreds from the German stable. At its heart is a 2.0L 181bhp turbo-charged petrol engine, backed up by a lithium-ion electric motor that will deliver up to 37 miles of zero-emissions motoring. Add in that electric power and the car generates 252bhp, which is plenty. Drive it in Eco mode and potentially 134 miles per gallon will be the reward. In every respect this is as much a BMW as any of the fossil fuel but with the added benefit of just 49g/km. It is hard to think of a reason to not buy this car.
BMW 330e Charging Cable FAQs
Does it work as an electric car?
Of course. As mentioned the BMW 330e will run in electric-only mode for up to an excellent 37 miles. This makes it ideal for local commutes and shopping trips. Top up with your charging cable at home, at work or at public charging posts at the mall. Use the 330e’s standard charging cable to plug in and charge up in your garage or driveway through your power sockets. On the road, you can charge your vehicle at public loading facilities using the charging cable. EV Charging cables take a bit of a beating so it’s good to know that replacements can be purchased on line. Check out our stock above.
Will it suit my business requirements?
Yes. A BMW always makes a good impression in the company car parks and there is the added bonus that the driver clearly cares about the emissions issue. Many businesses now have charging points so while the job is being attended to the charging cable can be doing its job preparing the 330e for the trip home.
Will it be reliable?
It seems like it. BMW’s usually rank well for reliability and safety although some of the latest safety technology features only in the options list. Buyers like the BMW dashboard technology and engineering, ride and handling get positive feedback, too. Running costs appear to be below the norm as well which is always welcome.
